Build a report with the Proposal Wizard

Proposal Wizards can be stored in the UpSlide template list or the UpSlide library.

From the UpSlide templates list

  1. In PowerPoint, open the Templates list
  2. Select the template marked with a lightning bolt
  3. Fill in the information in the pop-up and click Create

From the UpSlide library

  1. In PowerPoint, open the Library pane
  2. Filter your library by selecting Template from within Content type
  3. Double click on the item to open the Wizard
  4. Fill in the information in the pop-up and click Create

Proposal Wizard fields

The fields that appear in the Wizard pop-up are fully customizable and directly impact what information is pulled into your document. An example is outlined below:

In this Wizard the first two fields are free text. A user can input any value and this information will pull through to predefined positions in the document. The remaining fields are all lists which can be single or multiple choice, dropdown or searchable. These then decide the template and slides selected, as well as any dynamic content creation.

Detailed field information

There are seven different types of Wizard field:

  • Text (TextBox): Free text
  • Image (Path): Browse for an image file stored on a machine
  • List (ComboBox): Dropdown list of simple options
  • Searchable list (SearchBar): Searchable dropdown list for lots of options (CVs)
  • Multiselect list (SeatchBarMultiSelection): Choose multiple options from the list (Project team, Specialists, Add-ons)
  • Hierarchical list (HeirarchicalPairs): Lists of pairs like sector and sub-sector (requires connection to API)
  • Wizard field filter (ComboBoxFilter): Enables a Wizard field to not be take into account for document generation

All of these fields can be used in combination so that users can easily pull in the information they need to their document. The most common fields are Text, List, Searchable list and Multiselect list.
