The Color Toolbar provides quick access to your on-brand colors that you can use for fill, outline and font colors. You can also choose the positioning of the toolbar, making it easier to ensure consistency throughout your presentation.
Applying a color from the Color Toolbar
Access the Color Toolbar from Format section of the UpSlide ribbon or using the Ctrl + Alt + Y shortcut. In order to apply a color to a shape or text:
- Select the shape or text you wish to apply color to.
- Select the color from the relevant column, using Show more to access additional options. You can chose whether to apply fill, outline or font color selection.
- Column 1: Fill
- Column 2: Outline
- Column 3: Font Color
To save more time, you can also use the Toolbar to:
- Select to apply the most recently applied color.
- Use the eyedropper to select a reference shape, which you can then replicate to a new shape.
- Remove applied colors.
Options for greater ease of use
To make the Toolbar easier to use, you can detach the toolbar and position it closer to the object you want to color.
You can also click the three dots next to the detach button to select Open when PowerPoint starts to have the toolbar automatically every time you launch a new PowerPoint document.
