You created a PowerPoint presentation or a Word document with Power BI visuals but now wish to display different information. By editing slicer values, you can change the information displayed without reexporting your visuals.
Slicers, filters and bookmarks
Power BI offers different ways of filtering through information in Power BI reports.
Slicers are visual elements in your reports that easily filter through relevant categories such as locations, time periods, clients, brands, products, etc. They narrow the portion of the dataset that is shown in the other report visualizations.
Filters offer more customization and are usually set by default, hidden in the Filters pane of the Power BI reports.
Bookmarks capture filters, slicers and visuals states at a given time.
In UpSlide's Import Visual window, you can only interact with slicers and bookmarks as long as they're based on slicers. If your bookmarks are based on filters, they can still be exported, but you won't be able to update their values in the UpSlide pane.
In UpSlide's Update Links pane, you'll be able to see all filter and slicer values applied to a visual, but you'll only be able to edit the slicer values.
Edit slicer values directly in PowerPoint/Word
Which slicer types can be edited in PowerPoint/Word with UpSlide?
You can edit Single Value, Multiple Value and Time-interval slicers using UpSlide directly in PowerPoint or Word when updating Power BI visuals. This can be useful when duplicating your PowerPoint report from one country to another or for one month to another and can update those filters.
Other slicers cannot be edited.
