If your teams use different templates, you can manage content in order only to show relevant content to the relevant team.
You’re the global administrator of a company. In this company, there are 3 teams:
- Team A uses the standard template and the common library.
- Team B uses the standard template and a specific template, the common library and Team B's specific library.
- Team C uses the standard template and a specific template, the common library and Team C's specific library.
UpSlide’s template manager will help you manage this kind of situation smoothly by making the standard template available to all teams and the specific template only available to the relevant ones.
Set up your templates
To make sure the right team sees their template, they need to have a specific Library where they will store content.
Attribute content to each team
Once you have the Library locations and a template for each team, click Manage Templates in the Templates dropdown button.
Click Discover how to share templates with specific user groups.
Once the different groups are set up, the window will automatically open to the appropriate user group view, and you won't have to click Discover how to share templates with specific user groups again.
The standard template is common to all teams, so we're not moving it. Select the Team B specific template and move it to location Library B.
You can now do the same for Team C's template. Templates will stay under General Templates as long as they haven't been attributed to a specific location. You can click on the three dots next to the template and select Move to another location to move Team C specific to Library C.
Once all templates have been moved, the Manage template window should look like this:
Exporting your template changes to your users
The changes are now active on your machine only. Follow the instructions on this page to export the .UpSlide file so everyone has the updated templates.
When the changes are live, they will look like this on the different users' computers.
