How to quickly collaborate in Excel

Updated December 8th, 2025

Access frequently used Excel sheets

To provide quick access to frequently used Excel sheets, UpSlide contains a fully customized Library for your company.

Its contents are organized into folders and can be inserted by double-clicking the thumbnails.

You can find more information about the Library in this article.

Send workbooks and worksheets

UpSlide’s Send feature makes it easy to send workbooks or individual worksheets via email. The selection can either be sent as an attachment (.xls, .xlsx, or .pdf) or directly in the body of the email.

You can find the Send button in the Others section of the UpSlide ribbon. Alternatively, you can use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + m.

  • If sent as an attachment, UpSlide will copy the selection to a new Excel file.
  • If sent directly in the body of the email, UpSlide will copy the selection as an image or HTML.
  • If you select several sheets before clicking the Send button, they will be pre-selected in the dialogue box.
  • You can choose to compress the attached file before sending.
Important

This feature is compatible with Outlook 2007,2010, Express and Lotus. But depending on the version of your mail client, some options may be unavailable. Typically, the new Outlook doesn’t allow us to generate the email with an attachment, so you’ll need to wait a few second to drag and drop the file from the other Windows Explorer tab which will open automatically.

Smart Print

UpSlide’s Smart Print feature prepares your document to be printed with your specific headers, footers, page orientation, and positioning.

By clicking Smart Print in the Others section of the UpSlide ribbon or pressing Ctrl + Shift + p, you can print a selected chart or one or more tables.

Tip

If you select a single cell, Smart Print will use the existing Print Area. You should use this feature when you want to Smart Print tables and charts together. First, set the Print Area, then select any cell of the spreadsheet and click Smart Print.
