Styles in PowerPoint allow a user to format text and tables. As an administrator, you can deploy standardized Styles to your whole team.

Table Styles
Creating and inserting a Table Style
To create a new table style, create a table in PowerPoint with three columns and four rows. The size of the table is important to set the behaviour of your table:
- The first row of your table is the header and will apply to the first row of your tables.
- The second and third row allows you to apply alternative styles to longer tables for better readability.
- The last row of your table style will behave as a "total row" and apply to the last row of your tables, regardless of the number of rows.
- The second column of your table will dictate the styles of all the columns in your tables except for the first column, which can be set to its own style.
In the screenshot below, you'll see an example inserted in Table Styles and applied to a 6x6 table.
To insert a new Table Style:
- Create a table in PowerPoint with three columns and four rows and apply the borders, text files, and text formatting.
- Select the table and go to the Table Styles button.
- Select Add Table Styles. A popup will appear.
- Enter the name of the new shape.
- Select whether this shape should be available in the current template, all templates, or only be available to you.
Managing Table Styles
- Go to the Table Styles button in the UpSlide toolbar.
- Select Manage Table Styles. A window will appear with all of your saved table styles. They are sectioned in Current Template (Name), All Templates and Only for me.
- Click the ellipses on the bottom right corner of each table style. You can insert it into the current slide, rename it or delete the table style.
Exporting your changes to your users
The changes are now active on your machine only. Test the changes you have made before sharing the update with your team. Follow the instructions on this page to export the .UpSlide file so everyone has the updated templates.
Made a mistake and want to revert back?
- If you have never made or exported changes before, ask your IT department to reinstall UpSlide on your machine and you will get back your originally provided templates.
- If you have previously made and exported changes since you last had UpSlide installed you can manually (re)install a .UpSlide to go back to the last set of changes you made.
