When exporting or updating content from Excel to Word, you may be prompted with the following error message: Object has been deleted. The cause of this issue is add-in S&P Capital IQ's incompatibility in Word with UpSlide.

Root cause

The add-in S&P Capital IQ is incompatible with UpSlide when activated in Word. The add-in for in-depth market analysis generates conflicts when using UpSlide to create or update links between Word and Excel.

As a result, an error message will appear such as Object has been deleted or Error! Bookmark not defined.

Workaround

To resolve this issue, we recommend you disable the S&P Capital IQ in Word.

Go to File > Options > Add-In > Manage COM Add-ins. There you can uncheck the Capital IQ add-in and restart Word.
