Applies to: All UpSlide customers who have purchased UpSlide AI.
What you purchase with UpSlide AI
When you add UpSlide AI to your license, your entire account gains full access to all AI features. These features run on a shared credit system:
- Credits are pooled at the account level, available to all users.
- Unused credits expire annually on your license end date, and then full allocation is renewed.
- You can top up anytime by adjusting your annual credit packages.
In short: UpSlide AI is an all‑in upgrade for your team, with one entitlement (AI features) powered by a flexible, shared credit pool.
Credit value & packages
- Starter Pack: Your contract specifies any baseline credits provided with Feature Enablement.
- Credit Packages: They’re available in predefined annual add‑on packages that increase your pool size predictably year-on-year.
Example scenario credit requirements for some of the UpSlide AI features:
- Consistency Check: 900 credits per 30 slides
- AI Assistant: 2 credits per request
- Slide Translate (using AI Assistant): 10 credits per slide
- Glossary: 20 credits per 30 slides
How credits are consumed
- A “credit” is the metering unit for running eligible UpSlide AI actions (e.g., Consistency Check, AI Review, etc.) based on the underlying processing requirements from the third party suppliers outlined in your T&Cs.
- Each feature consumes credits based on the actual processing cost, which is driven by the size and complexity of the content you submit.
- For example, shorter text or fewer slides use fewer tokens, while larger or more complex documents consume more. This means credit usage is proportional to the real compute cost UpSlide incur, not a fixed per‑action amount.
- Credits are deducted from your shared pool at the time of each action of a user.
- When the pool reaches zero, AI features continue to be available, but chargeable AI actions will not run until the next annual renewal data passes or additional credits are purchased.
How credit packages are allocated
- Additional credits are allocated into your account’s shared pool at the start of the add‑on term, and that pool expires at the license end date and then renews at the full allocation for the new license year. This makes budgeting easier and reduces the operational overhead of monthly user‑by‑user tracking.
- When you purchase an AI credit package mid-term, the cost and credit allocation are applied immediately.
- At your license end date, any unused balance expires, and a full allocation renews. This aligns with your subscription cycle and existing procurement process for adding standard UpSlide licences.
- Full-term purchase: If you buy a package at renewal, you pay the full amount and receive the full annual allocation of credits (e.g., 100k credits for 12 months).
- Mid-term purchase: If you buy a package partway through your term, you instantly receive 100k credits, which will renew as 100k credits at your license end date.
- Annual rollover: Unused credits do not roll over past the annual license end date.
