For its mail features in Excel and PowerPoint, UpSlide uses the default mail client as specified in the following registry keys by order of priority:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail
The content of this key can quickly become obsolete in the case of multiple installations or a re-installation.
As an example, the following values can be used:
- Microsoft Outlook
- Lotus Notes
Alternatively, you can force a default mail client by editing the ApplicationSettings.bin file located in %ProgramData%/UpSlide.
Add one of the following XML lines under the ClientSettings element:
- <DefaultClientMail>Microsoft Outlook</DefaultClientMail>
- <DefaultClientMail>Lotus Notes</DefaultClientMail>
Important
The Send feature in Excel and PowerPoint is only available with Lotus or Outlook as the default mail client.
