Always trying to maintain consistency between the commentary you write in PowerPoint/Word and the figures shown in your tables/charts? Link those figures through into your commentary too to keep them up to date.
- Within PowerPoint/Word select in the text area you'd like to insert your link
- Select one single cell in Excel
- Select the Export option. A popup will ask you to choose between exporting it's content as text or as an image. Select text.
In the case of text, data is exported at the selected location as a PowerPoint hyperlink (similar to what is generally used for cross references) linked to the source Excel cell (see picture below).
