UpSlide will prompt users to sign into their Office account if the content is stored in SharePoint. This article will help you if you see the authentication pop-up at the start of every Office application.

Key Cause

• The Customization path is a SharePoint path
• The user doesn’t have access to this path, or the path is not correct

If UpSlide cannot successfully connect to a SharePoint path, it will attempt authentication whenever an Office app is started.

UpSlide silently retries on the next application start, triggering repeated Office account sign-in popups.

How to Fix the Issue

• Ensure the SharePoint path is valid
  • Format: https://company.sharepoint.com/sites/SiteName/DocumentLibraryName
  • Not renamed: any modification, even a minor one, can invalidate the customization path and make it unusable.
  • No special characters
• Ensure the user has proper access rights to the SharePoint path.
