In Excel, you can find the functionality Export selection as PowerPoint table to export a table in Excel as a PowerPoint table. It allows you to manage the formatting of your table in PowerPoint while keeping the data source in Excel.

Before you start
With Export selection as PowerPoint table, you can:
- Export a table from Excel to PowerPoint and keep the data linked to Excel workbooks.
- Change table formatting directly from PowerPoint.
- Update the data in one click - as you normally would with the image Excel link.
Important to remember
When updating a table exported as a PowerPoint table, any data changed manually in PowerPoint will revert to the value in Excel to ensure the workbook remains the source of truth.
The data manually changed in PowerPoint that is reverted back to the Excel data after an update will not be flagged.
How to Export Selection as PowerPoint table
- Select the table that you want to export.
- Navigate to the Export to PowerPoint dropdown menu in the UpSlide ribbon.
- Select Export selection as PowerPoint table.
- Apply your company's formatting by using the Table menu in the UpSlide ribbon in PowerPoint.
When you want to update the Excel Link, click Update while preserving the size and formatting of your table in PowerPoint.
